Annual Drug Therapy Course
For over two decades we have been offering this highly interactive annual course on common and new drug therapy issues from an evidence-based perspective. The scope of information is broad, practical and often controversial, thus appealing to professionals in family practice, internal medicine and pharmacy. The format is primarily didactic but 30-50% of the available time is allocated to questions from the audience. The scope of information is broad, practical and often controversial, thus appealing to professionals in family practice, internal medicine, pharmacy and nurse practitioners. In addition, and this is always mentioned in the reviews, humour is used to facilitate the educational experience. Typically, there are around 300-325 registrants of which 2/3 are family physicians and 1/3 are pharmacists with a few nurses/nurse practitioners and specialists. In addition, we strongly encourage the attendance of trainees – residents and students – by subsidizing 20-30 each year. The course does not receive any sponsorship from the Industry and is self-funded. College of Family Practice CME credits and College of Pharmacists CPE credits are provided to the participants.
