Episode 543: The value of family medicine

In episode 543, James and Mike invite Tina Korowynk and Jennifer Young to discuss their recent paper where they talk about the evidence around comprehensive primary care that is led by a family physician. We find out family physician care improves patient outcomes such as mortality, decreased emergency department visits, hospitalizations, readmissions, and health care costs. At the end we discuss a few ideas for how to start to solve some of the issues that have created the present primary care crisis.
